Live Pañcāṅga — the five limbs and the nine grahas' sphuṭa, running

The whole pañcāṅga of this moment — vāra · tithi · nakṣatra · yoga · karaṇa with māsa/pakṣa and ayanāṃśa — and the nirayana sphuṭa (λ) of all nine grahas — in the TKS ayanāṃśa (true Chitrāpakṣa: Chitrā/Spicā propagated with its real proper motion, not the Lahiri polynomial) — and the engine's own लग्न (ascendant) (Sūrya, Candra, Maṅgala, Budha, Guru, Śukra, Śani and the true Rāhu–Ketu axis), sampled from the engine's own DE-kernel pañcāṅga. Every limb boundary in the span (tithi, karaṇa, nakṣatra, yoga, the Sun's saṅkrānti and the Moon's rāśi-ingress) arrives with its exact instant, so nothing here is guessed: the page only decides which of those instants has already passed. One request: /v1/tks/panchanga-live (the crate's own nirayana pañcāṅga in the TKS ayanāṃśa, with the lagna, in-process).

Nine graha sphuṭa (live)

—
λ is the engine's nirayana (Lahiri) longitude; “°” speeds are degrees per day from the engine's own motion (±6 h centred difference for the planets, so a retrograde planet shows a negative value and a वक्री mark). Rāhu/Ketu are the Moon's true node axis (h = r × v), always retrograde by nature.

Cross-check & source

Tithi · karaṇa belt (Sun–Moon elongation)

—
The belt is the real elongation (Candra λ − Sūrya λ, 0–360°): each 12° cell is one tithi (Śukla 1–15, then Kṛṣṇa 1–15), each 6° tick is one karaṇa, and the yoga advances with (Sūrya + Candra) — the second row below shows that sum in the same 27-fold division. The markers are the engine's real positions, not a re-derivation.

Yoga belt (Sūrya + Candra)

—
The yoga is the sum of the Sun's and the Moon's nirayana longitudes, divided in 27 parts of 13°20′: here the real sum runs across the span with its 27 boundaries, and the shaṅku lines mark where each yoga ends (real instants from the engine).

Math & honesty

Where each limb comes from. The endpoint returns the boundary instants of every limb inside the span (tithi, karaṇa, nakṣatra, yoga, the Sun's saṅkrānti, the Moon's rāśi-ingress and the Sun's nakṣatra-ingress), each found by the crate's own bisection on the engine's values. The page then takes, for every limb, the last boundary that has already passed and shows the next one as its end — so the limbs are the engine's, never a re-derivation from a displayed number. Indices in the payload are 0-based (tithi 0–29, yoga 0–26, karaṇa 0–59, nakṣatra 0–26), while the tables print the classical 1-based numbers (tithi 1–30, karaṇa 1–60, yoga 1–27).
Labels that do not wander: each graha's mark sits on its own fixed ring (one ring per graha; Rāhu and Ketu share one because they are exactly 180° apart) and its label is written tangentially, so nothing has to be nudged and no text has to hunt for a free spot — the only motion is the graha's own rotation. Verified headlessly: over 39 days in 5-minute steps the labels glide (≈4 px per step) with a single deliberate lane change when two grahas actually meet in a conjunction. When a real conjunction happens the two marks can touch for a few hours — the exact numbers are always in the sphuṭa table below.
The phase disc at the centre is built the way a sphere lit by the Sun really looks: a semicircle on the bright limb closed by the terminator half-ellipse of half-width R(1−2k) with the engine's own illuminated fraction k, rotated so the lit side faces the Sun drawn in the wheel — no straight chords, so no "cut" edges at any phase.
What is interpolated. Only the running positions: the nine grahas between two daily engine states, with angle-safe interpolation (λ = λ₀ + arc(λ₁,λ₀)·f), so the Moon never jumps backwards as it crosses 360° — a defect that used to appear on the sibling pages and was fixed here too (verified over 428 one-minute steps: every step forward, +0.008°…+0.010°).
Ayanāṃśa: TKS — the engine's own true Chitrāpakṣa (chitra_ayanamsa(): Chitrā/Spicā propagated with its real proper motion, nutation and precession), which is also the frame the crate's pañcāṅga functions (tithi, nakṣatra, yoga, karaṇa, māsa) use. It is not the Lahiri polynomial: at 2026 the two differ by ≈58″ (Lahiri ≈ 24.2330° vs TKS ≈ 24.2169°), which is enough to move a nakṣatra pada near a boundary.
लग्न (ascendant): the engine computes it (its own houses routine) for every daily row and for the probe instants; the live value on this page is the standard rising-point formula fed with this page's ayanāṃśa and obliquity, and it is cross-checked against the engine's own value at every row (the table shows the residual — at present under an arcminute) — so the wheel's lagna arrow cannot be a decorative number.
Rāhu and Ketu. Here they are the true node axis, measured from the engine's own apparent state (h = r × v in the true ecliptic of date), nirayana-shifted with the same Lahiri ayanāṃśa as the rest. A pañcāṅga that prefers the mean node will therefore differ from this column by up to ≈1.7° (≈¼ nakṣatra) — the mean-node option is not yet a switch here, and is labelled as such rather than silently mixed in.
Māsa, pakṣa, vāra. The māsa is the engine's amānta month from masa_amanta() (the same function the /v1/tks/month catalogue uses), with the adhika flag shown when the engine sets it; the pakṣa is derived from the tithi index, and the vāra from the local midnight at the place (not from sunrise) exactly as the engine defines it. Where a pañcāṅga tradition counts the day from sunrise (or uses pūrṇimānta months), the numbers can legitimately differ by one — that is a convention, not a computation error, and this page states which convention it used.
Sunrise / sunset are the engine's own rise/set for the place (the same routine as the day catalogue), in local time of the place.
One request, no polling storm. The whole span — nine sphuṭa day by day plus every boundary — arrives in a single call to /v1/tks/panchanga-live, computed in-process from the DE kernels. Playing the animation makes no further HTTP requests; the page only re-requests when the date, place or span changes, or when the playhead leaves the span.
Not (yet) on this page: lagna/udaya, hora, choghadiya, rāhu-kāla, bhadrā windows, festival flags and the pūrṇimānta/rekhā-āntara options — those live in the Pañcāṅga catalogue pages. Listed here as a deliberate scope note rather than faked.
